About UsAt Breeze’s Street Friends, we’re not yet adopting or rehabilitating animals — but we’re making a difference where it starts. Since March, we’ve helped spay and neuter feral cats, supporting local rescues and building a kinder, more compassionate community for animals in need.
Breeze’s Street Friends began with a simple act of compassion—helping a stray find her way home. What started as one rescue has grown into a mission of kindness and community.
We’ve donated to local nonprofits and donated to the first Pet Fix Clinic in our county, helping provide vital spay and neuter care.
Together, we can make “stray” a word of the past and “friend” the start of every story.

We moved to Lake County in 08/22 into a rental where we “inherited” a feral cat colony—at least 30+ unneutered cats and then their litters. Our landlord did nothing to help, and we couldn’t find any services willing to step in. On a retirement income, we started trapping and fixing them one by one at full vet cost (around $400 each) and were completely overwhelmed. Finding Breeze’s Street Friends has been a lifesaver. Their volunteers helped with trapping, transport, and access to low-cost spay/neuter clinics across Northern California. The highest we’ve paid through them is around $75 per cat, which has made an enormous difference. The stress and anxiety we were living with has gone way down. Their commitment to tackling cat overpopulation—one cat, one kitten at a time—is phenomenal. I am so grateful for this 501(c)(3) and cannot thank Breeze’s Street Friends enough.
